British Aircraft Corporation

The British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) was a British aircraft manufacturer formed from the government-pressured merger of English Electric Aviation Ltd., Vickers-Armstrong (Aircraft), the Bristol Aeroplane Company and Hunting Aircraft in 1960. Bristol, English Electric and Vickers became "parents" of BAC with shareholdings of 40%, 40% and 20% respectively. BAC in turn acquired the share capital of their aviation interests and 70% of Hunting several months later. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Aircraft_Corporation

The BAC 167 Strikemaster was a British Armstrong Siddeley jet-powered training and light attack aircraft. It was a development of the Hunting Jet Provost trainer aircraft, itself a jet engined version of the Percival Provost, which originally flew in 1950 with a radial piston engine.

The BAC 167 Strikemaster is essentially an armed version of the Jet Provost T Mk 5. Aircraft sound recordings of both of these types can be found here.
